Critical Installation Considerations:
1. Avoid Inlet/Outlet Nozzles: Position the MLG away from the vessel's inlet and outlet nozzles to avoid turbulent flow, which can cause unstable level readings and measurement inaccuracies.
2. Vertical Installation: Mount the gauge vertically. Deviation from true vertical must not exceed 3° (degrees). A root (isolation) valve must be installed between the vessel flange and the gauge for isolation during maintenance and cleaning.

5. Support and Protection: For installations exceeding 4-5 meters in height, supporting cables (guide wires) or intermediate supports must be added to both sides of the chamber. This provides mechanical stability and prevents damage in harsh environments (e.g., mechanical vibration, physical impact, high wind loads).
6. Access for Maintenance: The installation location must provide adequate access for future maintenance, inspection, and chamber cleaning .
7. Medium Compatibility and Purity: The process medium must not contain solid impurities or magnetic particles. These can cause float sticking/jamming, damage to the float or chamber , and lead to measurement errors or gauge failure. Note: This is primarily a pre-installation selection/verification requirement, but crucial for successful operation post-installation.
